Politic blogging….make a book from your priceless content..blog to book
If you blog about politics right now and have good traffic to your site, chances are you have hit a gold mine similar to a gold rush. Everyday, there is a plethora of new information that you can use to blog about and it seems to get crazier every day. Sarah Palin is on Saturday Night Live, making fun of herself and “raising the roof” while Barack Obama has side stepped the public financing restrictions and is geared to spend more than Bush and Kerry did combined in 2004. McCain is likened to a Nazi on a popular television cartoon on mainstream cable and Biden was recently lucky to get a clean bill of health from his doctor.
It seems that everyday the thought has crossed my mind, is this really the best we have? If we were to organize a panel of judges and treat this like a basic hiring decision, would any of these people even get an interview? I don’t think so.
We are basically hiring for the biggest executive position in the world. What would their resume’s look like? Obama wouldn’t get an interview because he has little experience. The same goes with Palin. Imagine the two of them throwing their names in the hat for an executive position for any of the largest 100 companies. Being a community organizer and a Senator for a few years (most of that time campaigning for President) or a mayor of a small town and Governor for a few years of a state that is thousands of miles away is pathetic.
McCain is old and has a history of bad policy. Conservatives across the country consistently have disagreed with his decisions for the last 25 years. Biden made a fool of himself with his own run for the presidency as he made comments about his competitor at the time, Obama.
So to summarize, we have a choice between a hugely inexperienced executive or a person who is own party doesn’t even fully support. Great. The upside is it gives us something to blog about. The circus we call politics has constantly provided great content. I am sure many blogs on this subject are simply priceless. I know that many blogs will want to make books from all the posts, comments, pictures and feedback they have received over the past year. Bloggled will soon allow anyone to use their browser based book making tool to but the memories to book. Don’t forget, not only can you use it for your family blog but for your political and business blog.
