Work, Work, Work
It’s unbelievable how busy we all get in our lives. I flew out on business this last Monday morning and have been on the road for five days straight. All I feel like is one big blur of airport security checks, rental cars, hotel rooms and restaurants. I’ve barely slept and all I’m doing is working. Although my work is very fulfilling and I feel like I’m helping others in what I do and teach, I miss my family and am ready to return home.
I know my wife is just as busy as I am, but in a different way. With her having given birth just a couple of weeks ago to our little girl, she has a new baby to take care of in addition to caring for my two rambunctious boys, ages four and two. Her mom has been around to help and I flew my mother in this week to help because I knew that I would be gone on business. And such is life, on and on and on.
Each day blurs more and more into the day before. We do what we can to support and take care of our families because we love them and want to make something of ourselves. Something to be rewarded and recognized for; something that just means that what we do matters to others and the ones we care about most. One of the things that brightened my day was the opportunity each evening once I got to my hotel to jump on the internet and check out my family’s blog. My wife fortunately had posted a few new entries with pictures of my new baby girl spending time with her grandma (my mother) There was also funny dialogue describing the events of the day and all the crazy things that happen when you have a family with three kids, all age four or under. I’m so glad blogging exists and that with today’s technology I can instantaneously see the thoughts and feelings of those whom I care about most.
Below are some funny work cartoon, enjoy.
