Take your family to Sea World.
I had the chance recently to take my family on vacation. We debated on multiple locations and activities, but after getting a steal of a deal on an Orlando getaway with free tickets to Sea World or Disney World included, we decided to go for it. My kids are 4, 2 and 6-weeks. We flew into Orlando non-stop from Salt Lake City (for the kids’ sake and our sanity) and hustled over to our hotel. After getting some dinner we splashed around in the hotel pool. The pool had multiple waterslides which my kids loved as well a floatable putt-putt golf course in which beach balls acts as golf ball propelled by water currents into the holes. I’d never seen anything like it but it was a blast! The following day we headed over to SeaWorld. We struggled hard with the decision between going to Disney World or Sea World, but in the end we decided based upon our kids’ ages, Sea World would give us more bang for our buck and have more attractions and shows for our kids age group. Boy, were we glad we did what we did! Sea World was fantastic for everyone! We started with the Shamu show. My kids got splashed sopping wet and it felt good because the temperature and humidity we’re through the wolf. I was impressed by the whales, music, animation and cinematography that surrounded the whole show. Our 4 and 2 year olds loved every second of it! After Shamu we headed over to play with the sting rays (stingers removed) and see the dolphin show. Although Shamu is the keynote attraction, I actually enjoyed the dolphin show even more. The divers, dolphins, acrobats, music (I could go on and on…) we’re really a hit for everyone in my family. The food in the park (although expensive) was tasty and the day flew by for everyone!
So there you have it, almost every sea creature you can imagine within touching distance of you and your family! Our kids were exhausted as we left the park. (My wife and I as well) We ended the day with a nice dinner and one last dip in the pool at the hotel.
My whole point of this entire review of our family’s trip to Sea World is to let you know that one of the first things we did upon returning home to Utah was enter in our pictures, posts and memories into our own family’s blog. Immediately, our extended family and friends could see and experience our trip to Sea World. Comments came pouring in and it was fun to share our experiences with others. This type of thing occurs everyday with tons of families and people. The internet and blogging have dramatically decreased the size of the world we live in and connected everyone faster than ever before. In the past, perhaps a detailed scrapbook would have been created outlining the events of our trip, but now a days, as time passes faster and faster and our days are fuller and fuller, even traditional scrapbookers just don’t have the time anymore. Everyone is turning to blogging! Blogging is the new scrapbooking! That being the case, wouldn’t it be important to protect your memories?
