Since there are plenty of blog awards out there, we thought we’d do our own version of blog awards. Instead of focusing on a “Best of” type of slant, we thought it’d be best to share some of the most well written, interesting blogs on the Internet in a way few others have.

At first, we wondered if we were allowed to laugh at this blog. It deals with race - kind of - which instantly makes it a little taboo. But as we read it, we realized that, yes, yes, in fact, Stuff White People Like is quite funny. Still, we find ourselves glancing around to see who’s watching before we chuckle.
Most Thought-Provoking
PostSecret is one of those blogs that manages to have universal appeal, and that’s probably because it’s topic is centered largely on the human experience. With original postcards created and submitted by readers, there’s no telling what we’ll see. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes tragic, it’s PostSecret’s ability to get us thinking about our own lives that keeps us coming back for more.
Most Enlightening as to Our Total Lack of Fashion
Consisting primarily of photos taken of real people – not models – on the streets of some of the world’s most fashionable cities. Vibrant, stunning and eye opening, the Sartorialist has showed us just how unfashionable we really are!
Most Hunger-Inducing
Smitten Kitchen is the personal cooking blog of a New York couple that is posted out of their New York home. With vibrant photos and recipes with ingredients that most people have access to, Smitten Kitchen is as entertaining as it is informative and useful. Is it time for lunch yet?
Most Influential on the English Language
Who would have thought that photos of cats would have such an impact on the English language? In fact, just yesterday, someone informed me that they “has a taste.” The LOLSpeak that has spawned from Cheezburger’s LOLCats has begun spilling out into everyday life, which we think is worthy of some mention in our awards.
