How are you keeping your personal history?

changing-copy

The way people have kept their personal history in past years is by just writing it down in books or journals.  This has been the traditional way of recording your history or life stories and until the personal computer really came on the scene it was the only way except for maybe recording it to a tape of some sort.  With the personal blog being so popular and so easy to do it is certainly becoming an easy way to record your personal history.  Most people that keep personal and family blogs have them to share with others.  I think in the beginning when blogging was in it’s early years people just loved sharing thoughts, ideas, family events and personal experiences.  It really hasn’t been until the last year or so when bloggers have realized they have a online history of what they have done and they would have had that if it wasn’t for blogging.

All of us are online with Social Media and when you think about it is all just blogging.  Most everyone has a Blog, Facebook and Twitter account and I could certainly keep naming all the big Social Media platforms out there just to get my point across that we are all online sharing what is on our mind and events in our lives.  At Bloggled we want to provide a way to save, archive and protect your blogs.  There was a recent article in the New York Times that talked about in the near future everything we do with our computer will be online.  This article was specifically referring to Google’s OS that is set to come out shortly.  The article when talking about that fact that all we really need is a web browser to do anything says “Any device, anywhere - from a desktop PC to a mobile phone - could give users instant access to all their files and programs so long as it had a Web browser.”   This is a concept that most people are doing now.  All your email is online, people store pictures online and most programs can be accessed through the web.  I can see this being more and more popular, that we don”t use our personal computer for most task and that all we need is a internet connection and browser. Like i mentioned a lot of us already do this.

I guess my point of this post was to share my opinion that I see us only using browser based tools to share our daily and life events and that we need a place to make sure that data is safe and secure.  Bloggled hopes to evolve into a place that saves all of our online data, personal interactions, personal history, blogs you name it.   Who would hate to have all that lost forever and not be able to share it with family, friends and or kids?
